Call up weather> go to METARS. Look at Winds at the top and you'll see that the VFR or IFR notice covers the Wind Gusts which would be nice to know.

John, what device are you on? I don't get that error on my iphone.
You have to click on airport>touch WX>On next box click on WX info... botyom left. This brings up Weather METAR. Under winds you' see wind direction @ speed. Gusts speed is covered with vfr or ifr box.
