Hello All,

I'm using a Crewdog Stratux, which works very well, and have a question about the recalibration function.

When you select "Recalibrate AHRS to Level" you're given the question: "Do you want to recalibrate AHRS on your Stratux or iFly GPS?"  What's the difference?

Thanks in advance.  Mark

Mark,

If you choose Stratux, the app will send instructions to the Stratux to treat it's current position as level.  Picking iFly GPS will cause our app to adjust all the AHRS data to treat the currently reported position as level (eg, if Stratux is reporing "5% bank" iFly will treat that as level)

The final result of either choice will appear to be the same.  But I always select Stratux.

Hello Walter,

Thank you!  That's what I thought - sort of.

Thanks for the very speedy and clear help.

Mark

As I have posted prior I found that the Stratux needed to be recalibrated many times in a flight and so I returned it to Spruce

Hi John,

Thanks.  Just got mine and have used only twice.  I'll check the AHRS carefully on the next flight.

Is there a diffrent unit that worked better for you?

Thanks, Mark
