Hi Gabe,

You can get the flight plan briefing, just not super intuitive. Basic steps: (long version)

  1. Enter your flight plan. Note that you can only have 1 landing in the plan.
  2. Click More Options, Select Aircraft, then click on the aircraft you'll be flying, edit a profile or create a new profile.
  3. Click More Options, Altitude Planning. Set the slider to your planned departure time, select the Multiple Altitudes then Optimize.
  4. Click the Online Filing button. (don't worry it doesn't actually submit at this step). Check each field, modify as needed.
  5. Click Options, View Briefing - this will give you all the required info: weather, TFR's, AIREMTS, Notams, etc...
  6. Close Briefing
  7. Click Options, File VFR/IFR flight plan (if you plan to file)
  8. Clcik Close Form.

Short version:

  1. Enter flight plan
  2. Online Filing
  3. Options
  4. View Briefing
  5. Close

Thank you for your detailed reply, Tony. I wasn't aware that a flight plan briefing was available in the iFly software. It is buried under a few menus, isn't it?
