The ability to create a new aircraft profile is nested 6 levels down. Its position within the nesting is not logical or is it intuitive. I've looked high and low and believe that this is the only place within the software environment that a new aircraft profile can be created.
To create a new aircraft profile, one must travel down the following nested menus:
Navigation Screen > Setup > Select Aircraft > Edit Current Aircraft > Options > Create New Profile.
Suggest that Create New Profile function be renamed to Create New Aircraft Profile and then added to the following:
1. Flight Plan > Aircraft: N1234S (C-XXX) > Select Aircraft Profile. This is displayed above the Set Departure Point button
Add a 'Create New Aircraft Profile' button above the Edit Current: N1234S (C-XXX) button
2. Flight Plan > More Options > Flight Plan Options
Add a Create New Aircraft Profile button above the Select Aircraft (N1234S) button
3. Navigation Screen > Menu > Setup
Add a Create New Aircraft Profile button above the Select Aircraft (N1234S) button
4. Navigation Screen (Base Map) > Setup
Add the Create New Aircraft Profile button above the Select Aircraft (N1234S) button
Remove Create New Profile button from Navigation Screen > Setup > Select Aircraft > Edit Current Aircraft > Options >
5. Update documentation
