Alex, did you happen to mention to the chart guy that Klamath Falls seems to also be wrong about their airspace diameter? Maybe it is something in the water out there?

ROFL. I got the email version of this post, which you have apparently wiped out for some reason. Anyway, you said that Klamath Falls told you that their Delta was 5SM.

Reading from The Good Book:

************************************************
ANM OR D Klamath Falls, OR Klamath Falls Airport, OR (lat. 42°09'22''N., long. 121°44'00''W.)

That airspace extending upward from the surface to and including 6,600 feet MSL within a 5.4mile [NM] radius of Klamath Falls Airport. This Class D airspace area is effective during the specific dates and times established in advance by a Notice to Airmen. The effective date and time will thereafter be continuously published in the Airport/Facility Directory.

I only had a short conversation with Klamath, and on voice it's easy to have a misunderstanding on either end (thus for important or technical or complex stuff I prefer text so we can see exactly who said what.) So I have to say, based on my memory being imperfect, and your info above, I'm now not SURE what Klamath is USING for their radius. Could indeed actually be, as you say, something in the water out here and they have a disparity also.

I might call 'em again and pin that down. Nice thing to know is there's now a simple and rather diplomatic route to go to address such: Contact the chart guys at the report discrepancies email and ask, as I did, is your chart off or is ATC off?

By the way: Where is it that you're looking up the airspace specifications? I take it you can there readily find the specs for any USA airspace?

Alex, I have repeatedly posted the link, including in my last post. I don't know how to be clearer.
