The ACK ELT-04 will send an acknowledge flash if the NMEA is set to extended with no customization needed. Use the ifly serial cable and follow the ACK manual for pinouts.
I flush-mounted a multicircuit marine dc fuse block in my panel and velcroed the ifly right over it.
