Saw a new ADSB receiver for the IPAD at $799 from Sportys. Completely wireless and with an onboard chargeable battery with about 4 hours use.
Wondered if this might work with the iFly.
We have not confirmed compatability with this device. Sporty's did tell me the device was designed specifically for ForeFlight. I'm not sure if they went so far as to encrypt the stream making it impossible for any other solution to use it...or if this is simply a marketing agreement and it will be easy to consume. We'll post when we have more info.

Time will resolve a lot of these issues and costs as it always does. I remember when the only place you could get an i-phone was ATT, and that didn't last long.
