I know this thread is old, forgive me for the resurrect.

The Levil products cost $1500-1900 to get NMEA autopilot functionality from a tablet.  The draw of iFly devices/apps has *always* been cost.  Getting most or all of the features of the larger players at 30-70% of the cost is what drives AP's business.

You won't find any other tablet-linked AP system for less than that. The only cheaper option is the trim wheel in your cockpit.

The iLevil AP only works with an iPad - they don't have an app for Android. That was the deal breaker for me, so i'm going down the GRT path.

The cheaper option has been the iFly 700, 720, and 740, for about 1/3 - 1/2 the price above.

Again, is there a reason that a tablet cannot transmit the required NMEA sentence via the USB port? I would think that modern tablets are much more capable that the 7XX devices.
