It's very disappointing to see AP being so dismissive of reasonable feedback.  It was not always so.

Cobra, thank you for expressing your view on this. I wanted to, but I may not have been as diplomatic.

I got some more info re: alerting times:

The "Moderate" traffic alert setting, during cruise, are as follows:
The first "Information" alert tone when traffic is within 3nm, +/- 3000 ft, or a projected intercept is within 120 seconds.
The second "Warning" alert which has a different tone and a popup message is within 1 nm, +/- 1000 ft, or projected intercept within 60 seconds
The third "Critical" alert which is bright red is within .25 nm +/- 500 ft, or projected intercept within 30 seconds.

if you're still having issues, then send us an adsb log

The problem is I'm not getting what you call the 1st alert tone at  3 nm only the latter alert at ,25 nm which is too late to be beneficial.

Obstacle alerts are a concern too.  I have seen my 740b neglect to inform me of obstacles right off my wing 1nm away, or alert for an obstacle when traveling one direction but not the opposite direction at the same altitude.  Honesly I have stopped thinking of obstacle alerting as a feature of the device, I simply have to look at it periodically to see where the obstables are.
