I stopped using Facebook about 2 years ago and never looked back. I do not have a Facebook account now and won't have one just so I can check Adventure Pilot stuff. It excites me when iFly comes out with a new version. This is where I come to as soon as a new version in released. I guess I just won't be as excited anymore with iFly releases as I won't do Facebook.

Hey Guys, sounds like my FB idea isn't being well received.  As good as this forum has been over the years, it's very old technology and needs to be upgraded. My primary reason for change is to improve adoption by our community and make it easier to use. We have a couple of private groups for this, one for general discussion the other for beta.  I'll regroup with the team and try to find some other options, and we'll keep this up and running for now.

I appreciate your feedback!
Walter

While I have a FB account, I NEVER post there.  The most I do is send PM's to people I want to talk to.  I can not see any reason I would begin posting to a iFly FB page.

Many years ago, when the 700 was still  new and had nowhere near the features it now has, I made a suggestion that iFly have a page that listed all the things the users had requested.  It would be a place we could all go to see if our own "new" idea had already been suggested, and allow us to put a vote in favor, or against it.  It would also act as a bit of a Brag list that iFly could show the many user suggested ideas that had become useful features.  As I recall it was not adopted because the iFly team was afraid of their potential new features might leak out to competetors.  And now you want to have all of our suggested new features on Facebook?

I'm not sure why this software has to be upgraded just because it's a few years old, from my end it seems to be working fine.   Although I'm not on a lot of other forums, I have been on a few over the last 25 + years and it seems quite adequate.

I like posting here, I like that I don't have to wade through a bunch of ads, I like that my comments aren't spread far and wide to anyone that FB thinks might be amused by them, I like t hat I can search through Only iFly related discussions in hopes of finding what I'm after.  I don't know that I can say any of that about Facebook.

I'm glad to see that ALL feedback is still appreciated by iFly.

I don't have any issues with the current Forum software, but if a change has to be made, please keep the Forum format with no social media connection.
