What are others doing for powering their iFly GPS devices independently of ship's power?

Someone I know was on a cross country flight and had an electrical failure.  Didn't know about it until systems started shutting down (shame on him for not watching his volts and amps closer - lesson learned!).  Magneto's and a rural destination meant an otherwise uneventful flight, and a safe landing.

Searching this forum yields discussions about an external backup battery pack from years ago, that apparently doesn't exist anymore.  Is there a modern equivalent?

Thanks!

I started out with a 700 and bought an external battery for it after suffering a complete electrcial failure in flight.  I continued using the backup battery when I upgraded to the 720.

For what it's worth, once tablets became a viable option, the tablet with its built-in battery became a backup to the 720, and I retired the 720's external battery, glad to be rid of the hassle of ensuring it was charged before flight.  (Eventually, the tablet became the primary device.  Today, the 720 is a tertiary backup, with my two newest tablets taking the primary and backup roles.)

I have a couple DeWalt 20v tools/batteries, so I got a DeWalt DCB091 (NOT DCB090), In addition to two USB outlets, it's got a 12vdc power outlet.  I built a cord to go from that to my 740, but haven't had a flight long enough to need it since.
