Well, it has been a great 12 years since I bought my iFly700 GPS.  My wife and I have flown to just about all of the 48 states in our Cessna 172 with our '700 and I can not recall a single moment when I did not know exactly where we were.  Thank you Aventure Pilot for a wondrful aviation GPS!  I have also enjoyed sharing ideas with so many people on this forum.  Together we have seen many of our ideas come to life on this device.  I want to especially thank Brian for his working with us and our suggestions.  But now, as we both (Annette and I) approch our 80's, my flying missions have changed and I will no longer require GPS navigation.  Indeed I sold the Cessna about a month ago.  I'll attach a picture of the plane that I will be flying hopefully in about another month.  I have been working on this expermintal 'Hell Cat' for over eight years now.  I did the finial Weight & Ballance on it this morning and it is now ready for the FAA Air Worthyness Certificate inspection.  As you can tell from the picture, I will not be doing any long X-countries in this plane but I do hope that I will be able to enjoy "boring holes in the sky" with it for many years to come.  I wish you all blue skys and many wonderful flying memories.  -  Jim Williams  P.S. Sorry, I could not upload the picture.  It's bigger than 256 KB.  Anyway, if you ever fly into BMC, look for a 1/4 scale Grumman F6F Hell Cat.

Wow--the Hell Cat sounds like a heck of a project!  I hope it brings you many more years of enjoyment!  May your hours of "boring holes in the sky" be exactly as "boring" as you want them to be, and not an ounce more exciting than that, if you know what I mean!  :-)  All the best!

Jim:

It's been great to "know" you on the forum.

I just turned 84 and hope I have some more fun-flying years before I have to hang up my headset for good.
