Ergo, I'm really interested in the HUD, although, like you, I'm having some trouble thinking about whether it fits my "mission"--which mostly involves flying low and doing water landings for the fun of it, ofen with other seaplanes. I'm almost always looking outside the cockpit for that stuff.

On the other hand, an iFly HUD might be useful on trips or in lousy weather. Or at night. Or possibly when there's a lot of ADS-B traffic nearby. Or for other occasions that I haven't thought of yet. So I'm curious to see it in action. Unfortunately, I haven't come across any PIREPS yet.

Agreed that if they could paint traffic on the HUD (very problematic) that would be cool. (Even if they could calibrate it for size/distance/etc., what happens when you move your head?) Same comment for seaplanes - cool if they could paint obstructions.

But I don't see it happening. (Pun intended.)
