Just purchased 740b and was trying to find out if it is capable of playing music and how, cannot find anything in manual if I cna download it to sd card or have to connect thumb dive thru USB port.

Yes, you can put it on the SD card!

Go to the main menu, hit multimedia/music/bottom right hit the menu button, then SDMMCDisk, then wherever you saved your music files. You can make a new folder or not; I just have mine set to the root of the card so I can find stuff easily.

Strongly suggest some good music like Eve 6 to fly like I do ;)

Did you put your music on the same disk, or did you use another? Can you actually load it onto the gps or will it play only off the disk

Same disc.

If you ifly software set to run on startup, you have to exit app "run in background" then run music app. From there click on compass icon to return to ifly.

note that if you run ifly in portrait mode, the music app is always landscape and (I can't recall which is the problem) but ifly display gets messed up royally when you return to app depending on screen rotation. If you have an issue with that totated right try it left.
