Received my yoke mount for the iFly this week and installed it in the airplane. My questions is with regard to the ball mount. Looks like you need a tool to tighten and loose the ball from the iFly. The suction cup mount has a nice double nut to tighten it but not so in the RAM mount.

Seems it would be best to just tighten the ball to the gps and leave it installed and eliminate the wear and tear of taking it apart frequently. That being said the unit doesn't fit in the protective case very well with the ball attached.

I am wondering what other are doing with their yoke mounts.

Tim, no tools needed: Just slip the RAM adapter into the slot on the back of the iFly and give the ball a twist to the right, it will clamp itself down. A turn to the left will release it.

Thanks!
Walter

Tim: I found my iFly 700 with RAM ball attached fits into the soft case when I place the 700 face down with the ball facing up and closer to the zipper side (not the hinged side). Closing the zipper is no problem. ---Ralph
