I used my iFly 700 with Streets this holiday and was very pleased with the function - a 7" auto GPS is great!

I discovered that the screen dimming function does not work when in Streets - and it is pretty well buried as well (Menu:More:Settings:Display and then moving the slider). No matter where I put the slider it stays at whatever brightness level it was set to.

I recently updated the Streets program to 9.2.0.210672, Oct 21 2011.

Dick, you are correct - the streets software does not know how to dim our iFly hardware. But you can dim the screen through the system menu or the remote.

Thanks!
Walter

Not quite the reply I was hoping for since the system menu is a lot of button pushes to get out and back to Streets and the remote, while it works very nicely, is another piece of equipment to handle.

But not the end of the world, especially considering all the positives about the whole package.

Thanks, Dick

Dick,

I also discovered this issue with the screen not changing to night settings ( in streets mode )the other day, and I aslo agree that it is a great unit overall and will be a little inconvenient to get to as you stated it is buried in the program. I also was hoping that it would just be an update issue but after reading Walters post it sounds like it is just something we will have to deal with...................Like I said though, it's still a great GPS !!
