Went flying today and my iFly740b was working great.  Stopped for fuel, started back up again and my iFly would not power up.  Green light was on so I know it was getting power but the screen was blank.  Cycled the power off and on, still no joy.  Flew home and plugged the iFly into the wall receptacle with its transformer.  Same thing, green light on, blank screen.  Cycled the power switch a few times, no joy.  I have a second SD card and I tried it figuring that maybe it got corrupted somehow, but still no joy.  Right now I have it unplugged, the green light is off but the screen is on and blank.  We will see what happens when the internal battery runs out.  Either way, my iFly is not working.

Any other ideas to troubleshoot would be appreciated.

I'm sure you know the power button on the remote will turn the screen black, but leave the program running.  I just found out that simply touching the screen while it's black will turn it back on.

Is the screen a dead black, or is it illuminated, but blank?

If the screen is black, but the power is on, try shining a flashlight at the screen and look close.  These screens, like most other video screens, are LCD's, and have a back light.  If the back light does not illuminate, you can still see what the image should be, but you have to look close, and a flashlight helps.

Unfortunately none of this helps directly, but perhaps knowing the answer to these questions will help someone else figure it out.

Also another thing to try is to cycle the tiny on-off switch accessible from the bottom on the far right hand side.  Not the back but the bottom.  It is a tiny dip switch and a sharp pencil or a straightened paper clip can move the switch.

Check the thread from ROYERM under iFly Owners Q and A : there is some discussion about the tiny slide switch and cycling it before powering it up with the 120v transformer. That my help restore what they say is a dead internal battery. He also had the green light and black screen, this procedure seem to fix his issues. Just forwarding a post I read earlier, no credit accepted if this fixes your problem , Just interested if it does Good luck

No cycling of power switches, either the pushbutton or dip switch worked. The internal battery finally ran out after about 35 minutes with the screen lit but without any program running.  Once it was completely depowered, I plugged it back in and it seems to be working now off of the plug in transformer.  I'll try it with the aircraft power supply when I go to the hangar next week.  I've got a feeling that it reset itself after a complete power down.  Not sure what caused this since I always power it down prior to killing the aircraft power and I have not had this issue before.  Thanks for all the "repair" suggestions.
