so, thru FIS-B, TFR info is avail, as is the weather and tons of other stuff, over ADSB-IN.  So, that is a fact.  ForeFlight has in-flight TFR alerts feature with certain receivers.  Why doesn't iFly have in-flight TFR alert capability?  I could easily loose my license, or die, flying into an active TFR that popped upduring my flight.  Oh, and please don't claim the FAA didn't release TFR info last week when the entire central Oregon was on fire and a dozen mega-fires were raging and iFly showed nothing.  I can't always download from the internet info before I take off.  Back country camping is one example.  If I can pick up weather, winds aloft, etc..... why aren't TFRs included?  your website is deceiving about this service.

Kevin, I have told you before that iFly is definitely capable of displaying TFRs while in flight.  There have been standing Presidential TFRs in my area for years, and I routinely see them when I'm flying.  There have also been numerous industrial accident and/or natural disaster-related TFRs over the years similar to Oregon's situation, and I have seen those too.  I have also seen numerous other special-event-related TFRs.  The iFly folks are not lyiing when they say their app provides in-flight TFRs.

So there is some reason why you did not/are not seeing TFRs in your area, but it is not "because iFly doesn't show in-flight TFRs".  Are you 100% certain that the FAA was broadcasting TFR data?  (For example, did you see TFRs on another EFB product that was only consuming ADSB-in data at the time?)   Are you 100% certain you had iFly enabled to show TFRs?  (Check Menu > Setup > Alerts and Warnings > Airspace Alerts ... > SUA Display Modes ... > TFR, and make sure something besides "Hidden" is selected.  (I think "Outlined" is the default, which draws an orangish line around the TFR area.)

If you want to figure out why you're not seeing TFRs, the iFly folks will be happy to work with you to do that (but they'll probably be happier if you approach them in a productive posture).  iFly logs performance data by default and that can be used to determine if your device is set properly to display TFRs.  It can also optionally record ADSB data, but you have to do that manually (and I think there may be an issue at the moment with Apple devices not logging ADSB data correctly, though it works for the other platforms).

By logging ADSB data and flying in an area where you think iFly should be showing TFRs, then providing those logs to the iFly folks, you will be able to get an answer about why the TFRs aren't showing up.  If there's a bug in the app, it'll get fixed.  If there's a setting misconfigured on their device, they'll tell you how to set it up to get the results you want.  And if there's no data in the ADSB stream identifying the TFR, they'll be able to see that, too.

So if you really want to find out why iFly isn't doing what you think it should do, there's the path to follow to figure it out.  In the meantime, please quit posting all over the site that iFly is deceiving about showing TFRs in flight, because that's not true.

Thanks, Cobra (as usual)

Kevin - at no point are we "deceiving". That's unethical and antithetical to this organization and our values, and not to mention a terrible business practice.

You've posted this thread before and gotten the exact same response. Are you using an ADS/B-In device? If not, there's the issue.

I hope we have seen the end of this thread as it has been perfectly described what to do.

Agreed...and the "I'm gonna die" drama with it.
