Thanks John,

Wow, you survived a mid-air! And you are still flying -- good on 'ya! That would scare most folks right into the living room chair for good!

You mentioned you use "smoke" to see and be seen. You have me curious -what does that mean?

I know I invested in brighter flashing lights that can be seen in the day...I am not complete YET, but that is another tactic I am working on...

Would be interesting to hear what OTHER folks do here "...to be seen."

WOW.
I don't blame you for having all the equipment on board after what happened.

I think I oringally misread the question... Just to quickly clarify, we do have the "airline chime" play when there's a new contact around you - are you looking for more precise callouts like "pop up, bearing 340 5 miles +2000, hot" a la what a GCI/AWACs would have for a callout, or what we already have?

Michael:

Smoke fluid container, Facet electric pump, solonoid, hoses and BINGO....SMOKE.

It has helped quite a bit in busy patterns and in practice areas.

I can see a target closing on me and when I hit the smoke they deviate course.

Wouldn't be without it or ADSB or my rear view mirror.

Just need IFLY to verbally say what is printed on the screen about target info. We already have  "500", "Terrain", "Too low". This is the icing on the IFLY cake.

Simple text to speech.

Not rocket surgery.

This might be a nice feature, but it would be extremely annoying if it's not filtered.  There needs to be a way (for me anyway) to get it to ony speak out on *critical* traffic alerts.

[Edit: I moved the rest of my post (a request for more intelligence in traffic alerts) to the Wish-List forum.]
