While my Stratux has been off at the doctors getting a fan repair, I've been flying "blind"! Actually, a little backstory on that which makes the comment funnier.... I had a corneal ulcer back in 2016 (advise NEVER to get one - they hurt worse than anything I've ever had!). The FAA wanted an opthalmologist's report. When they sent the FAA the report they noted my CORRECTED distant vision at 20/400!! Of course, the FAA was NOT happy about a blind pilot! :-) Anyway, I digress...
Nearly all the school's planes have Garmin GTX345 transponders - a nice unit, and have one in our plane where it talks nicely to a GTN750. Trouble is, it does NOT talk (nicely or otherwise) to iFly. As others have said, unless Garmin does a huge about face, the liklihood of them ever playing nice is a big, fat ZERO! Unless Walter and the team can break Garmin's code!
