I know this has been discussed before, but I was wondering if there is any late word on some kind of panel mounting kit coming out in the near future for the iFly.

Following up on my previous question, has anyone affixed a RAM base with a 1" ball to their panel to mount their iFly?

I have developed a panel mount for the space available in my Warrior in front of the RH yoke. When "folded" flat, My passenger can act as navigator, but I can still view the screen. Then I can swivel the screen about 40 degrees, so that it "aims" directly at the left seat. Super easy to see. It also rotates up and down to eliminate glare, or just position it correctly. I did this with one simple piece of 6061 Alum. (I own a machine shop), and adapted it to the IFly plastic mounting arms. If you want more info, I'd be glad to share it or sell parts, however I need to have that approved through Adventure Pilot. Warrior Greg

I also have developed my own RAM type mount. I have a Cherokee and have the RAM yoke mount for the copilot side, but in turbulence or traffic-heavy flying like we have in the DFW area it's sometimes harder to see there. I purchased a RAM glareshield mount to install just to the right of center (to clear the radio stack) but unfortunately RAM's 1" mount was too small and that's the only one they have, so I fabricated a 2" clamp-type mount to fit around the glareshield and mounted not one, but TWO ball mounts to the front of it. The left one I use for the iFly, which puts it out of the radios' way but almost in center of view for everyone in the place, and the second is open for an additional accessory...something very critical to longer flights - a cupholder! I'll try to upload pics of it soon, but you can message me if you would like more info on it.
