Can you confirm ADSB In compatibility with http://www.navworx.com/products-ADS600-EXP.php

This is an in/out unit for experimental aircraft that supposedly meets 2020 requirements. It has a gismo that connects to existing Mode C transponder antenna cable and sniffs the squawk so doesn't need a separate control head.

I will be replacing my old SkyRadar with this and want to make sure it will work with my iFly.

Thanks.,
Alasdair

Yes, we work with that product. But full disclosure: I'm aware of one customer that is having issues with the nexrad radar coming through properly using 9.x and that device. We're still investigating it. But if it turns out to be an iFly GPS code issue, we will get it resolved.

Thanks!
Walter

Walt:

I have been using Navworx through WiFi to my Android Tablet and phone for over a month.

The Nexrad seems to be working OK now. Probably a short between the headset.

The only issue I am having and which is being investigated by IFLY is that I get a "No Heartbeat" message even though I can see that the WiFi from Navworx is sending a strong signal.

I have also found that there is sometimes a significant delay between where the target is displayed on my Android tablet and where the target actually is.

Some of this is latency caused by those that fly over 18,000 feet using the 1090 frequency and my unit being relegated to the 978 frequency use by most GA aircraft.

This means the 1090 isn't direct to me, but has to go to ground where it is rebroadcast to me.

I have seen 10-15 second delays.

However, when an aircraft is equipped with 978 out as is mine, then the delay is only 2 seconds.
