I have loaded in the new software and I really like the new Airport information. I also set up the Airspace warnings both altitude and time but when I went out to fly and check it out, the warnings did not work. I was flying from Chandler Airport to Casa Grande and return. The Phoenix Class B altitude changes about three times in this area so I should have received some warnings. Is anyone else haveing this warning problem?

Thanks, Dale Basham

Flew out of KFUL in So California for the first time with the 5.08 s/w

I'll have to readjust the settings for airspace warnings. As soon I would inhibit one warning the next one would immediately come on the screen.

Fullerton, Elmonte, Long Beach, LAX, Santa Ana, Los Alimitos, They just kept coming!

mrindian,

You may actually want to "Acknowledge". Inhibit will pop another message to where Acknowledge will dismiss the message and will not alert you for the same warning unless you turn away and turn back.

You are in a airspace conjested area. You can go into airspace distance setting and redeuce the distance to 1 mile and add or change the allitude buffer for 500 feet. These changes will still alert you, however you should see some quiet time between these alerts. If this is not enough, you may want to change some of the types of airspace to no warning in the Airspace Types section.

To get to these setting just touch Menu -> Setup -> Alerts and Warnings. From here you can make any of the above changes. I hope this helps.
