Is there a serial port on the GPS or do you need a USB to serial converter cable?

You need a converter.

Version 5: Marvelous, marvelous! I have NOT had any problems at all with the airport info page, search after search. The improvements to the airport info page are outstanding. The ability to easily make the font larger or smaller will please eyes of every refractive capability. The appearance of the extended runway markers is perfect. Ver. 5 is a great leap forward. Now if we could only get the screen brighter for canopy aircraft like mine, this would be the perfect device.

Walter, you've done a great job on this.

Steve

Walter -

Can you advise how to use the new VST (Vertical Speed to Target) feature?

I updated mine last night and drove to work in the dark with it this morning. The night lighting is perfect. I also appreciate the larger available text; the extended runway centerline: and all the other improvements! Thank you very much. Gary Welch
