Does anyone know if the iPad-2 will utilize an external GPS signal coming from a SkyRadar receiver (WiFi) even though the iPad has no internal GPS of it's own? Already downloaded the free App but not sure what to expect with no internal GPS on the iPad-2.

I just now tested this on my iPad2 with "Location Services" turned off. It gave me the warning at start up about requiring GPS to function properly. But when I went into "Menu => About => Connected Devices" and select "Wifi Device => SkyGuard", it hooked up just fine, and now I have traffic and ownship position. So it seems to be working OK. Hopefully, it'll work equally well for you.

Thanks so much! I will be using it on my way to Oshkosh.

I hope you get a chance to test it first to make sure it's working well for you, before taking it on a long trip.

Won't get that pre-fly test for Oshkosh but also carrying the original updated iFly-720 and other backups as well.
