Have noticed lately when I fly out of ADSB range (i.e., low over the Atlantic beach), I get an Alert that ADSB is lost. The only way to recover is by shutting down and restarting. Is there ant way to tell the iFly-720 to "just recover" and see the SkyRadar? Also, why does it have to wait for the SkyRadar ADSB to boot first? Why not just scan and see it at anytime?

Hi Ernie, it should just recover. We don't give an audible alert when the data resumes, but you can go to the Connected Devices dialog to confirm the data is coming in. Our just touch Mode, the Weather menu item will show how old the data is.

Regarding the boot procedure, feel free to try and change this up you may not have a problem. We've had some SkyRadar / WiFi setups that seem more finiky than others, so if it seems to have connection issues just revert back to booting the SkyRadar first.

Thanks,
Walter

Thank you Walter for the quick reply. The SkyRadar is also transmitting directly (via WiFi) to an iPAd 2 using the SkyRadar App and the ADS-B does recover after going in and out of range of the ground stations without my intervention or rebooting the SkyRadar App while the iFly-720 won't without rebooting. I always boot the SkyRadar ADS-B first on startup before the iFly-720 because it never recognizes it unless that order is observed. Seems to lose the ADS-B when the iPad does not. This might need some others to confirm but I am fairly sure the iFly-720 will not recover the ADS-B on it's own (at least with the SkyRadar receiver) Thank you..

Ed, I think you "hit the nail on the head"! Never thought about theiFly searching for a new WiFi in flight but I will disconnect all but the SkyRadar on my next flight (Oshkosh).
