If I am understanding your desire clearly, WingX has a function like this. You move the cursor to your start point, tap it, and then move it wherever you want and it gives you distance/azimuth. It is not dependant on your present position.

Yes Jonathan, something like that is just what I want on my iFly 700. Thank you for helping explain my request. - Jim

I love the 720 but it isn't ON on a 24/7 basis as my PC's are.

I am after a computer age equivalent to the wall map at an FBO.

I might want to look up an airport I had been by 40 years ago and haven't a clue what the Identifier is or even what town to search for...

But on my 24" monitor I'll bet I can locate without 6 or 7 dead end searches.

And it would be nice to just Click & Click for some rough planning data.

But I can't believe how much I have come to depend on my 720 for airspace, airport and weather info!

Thanks for the suggestions, I will look into them.
