I've noticed that when selecting an airport for information in weather mode, it comes up with the TAF information first after power up. Can this be made to default to whatever radio button was selected last -- regardless of power down? In flight, the METAR information is much more useful to me. I almost never look at TAFs...

I'll second Don's request. When I'm flight planning, I use the TAFs to see what the next few hours might bring. When I'm flying, I never use TAFs and rely on what I see and the METARS. So I'd like to see the METARS be the default (or be a user selectable defaut).

I'd also like to see Weather Information on the first page of Options. I use the weather feature a lot more than say "Add Waypoint Here" option, which appears on the first page. Most of the other "Possible Actions" seem like they ought to be on page one.

Sounds good, I'll try and address the above comments.

In regards to Traffic. Currently, you can touch that traffic icon and touch "Traffic Information" under the options menu to get this detail information. When you get closer to traffic, in "Alert" or "Critical Alert" phase, we will show those details in the alert message and you can even touch "More Info" for more details.

NexRad is currently shown on the Weather Map mode, it's on our wishlist to add this to the Sectionals and other Charts. Stay Tuned, this is actually a very complex add as it deals with totally different map and chart projections.

As for the TAFs versus Metars. This if prompted by the user. If you touch Weather and tap the screen, you will first get a TAF the first time. If you view a Metar and exit, it will come up with a Metar the next time. Basically, we take you back to the last weathe view (TAF, METAR, Winds) that you viewed last.

I hope this helps everyone and answers your questions and concerns. Please feel free to contact us at 888-200-5129 if you have any other questions or need further assistance. Have a great week.

We are asking if we can change in the defaults so that the weather info screen brings up METARS as the default instead of TAFS since the METARS are more relevant in-flight. A more flexible improvement would be to retain whatever setting is current during shutdown. If more people use TAFS in flight, maybe it makes sense... I just don't know.

Thanks!

Agree. It does default to the last view, however it resets to TAF after shutdown, because we keep TAFs for 24 hours and only keep Metars and such for less than 6 hours. I also like to look at METARs first as they are more focused on my area. I'll propose this to Walter. Keep the great feedback coming.
