Have you tried digging through the file structure and finding if they use a standard (.jpg, .png, .bmp, .ico, etc.) image extension and modifying one that is there so that on your device the "Cessna" icon would be modified by you, with an appropriate image program, to look like a B747?

Mind you, I have no idea if this would work, but it seems if the program is looking for "Cessna.ico" it will display whatever image (providing you keep it the same size) that is named "Cessna.ico" without regard to what it looks like on the screen.

Yes, I found the airplane icons in the Windows iFly files, so it ought to be easy enough to make a custom one for Windows and the hardware versions of iFly (e.g., the 740). Maybe Android, too. But it's practically impossible for a user to customize one for iOS devices because there's no easy way to get at the files. That would need serious help from Adventure Pilot--and is probably not worth the effort, just for a few cranky users.

If you wish to email an icon to us, PNG format with transparant background, and if we like the icon and it's suitable for distribution, I can add it to the app for everyone to use.

Check your email.  (I forgot to change the Subject line. Look for "Re: Free Plug")

As I told Walter (by email), "I've attached a png file with transparent background called "Pusher Searey.png"  All I did was to modify a copy of the "Dolittle Stinsen.png" icon that I like to see in iFly, mainly because the colors seem to show up [well] against sectional charts.  I flipped the wing upside down and then fudged a few other things to make it suggest a high-wing pusher.  Seareys have a swept leading edge, but otherwise it more or less resembles most of the light Experimental pushers, like Kolb, Rans, Titan, etc.

"My Searey is white with blue trim, but your colors are much easier to find in iFly.

"I'll be delighted if you include it in iFly--but won't be sorely bummed if you don't.  Anyway, thanks for suggesting it."

Here's what Seareys looked like from above about 15 years ago, at a splash-in near Winter Haven, FL:

I arrived the day before, so mine is at the far left.
