REF: Color of towers, wind turbines and other man-made obstructions

Let me start out by saying I love the IFly and all you guys who are the programmers, designers and business staff - outstanding job.

I feel almost greedy asking for anything else, as the system is by far the best I have ever flown with in my decades of flying GA.

OK, so around me I have a lot of towers, wind-turbines, some very tall buildings and nuclear reactors right near runways - just the way it is...

Right now the BLACK tower symbols fade into the BLUE SKY in synthetic vision.

WISH: Can there be a way to change the color from BLACK to WHITE or SILVER or YELLOW to give them more contrast  when taking off or landing near them?  I could hardly see them on the SV last week during a take-off where I got vectored into high terrain with towers atop the terrain.  This happened at Capitol City Airport in PA and Dulles INTL in VA.

This is not urgent, critical or a high-priority. In fact, I may be the only one to ever ask for it!

Example photo below - turning into towers I could not see on SV.

OK, thanks in advance for your consideration. Keep up the great work!

HERE is what a BLACK tower looks like on a BLUE horizon - see photo - very hard to see.

Otherwise, GREAT program - very happy!

Mike, my boss says "he's got a good point" and told me to do something about it.  So I did.   Modified the graphics for obstructions to now be white with black outline, to guarantee contrast in any context.   How do you like this?  (will be in 10.3)

Note, you can barely see them here, but for buildings, I changed the window-grids to be very light now (near white), to ensure similar high contrast.

Wow Brian, that was very fast!

Yes, thank you - that is even better than anything I suggested - excellent! All the changes you described are perfect. This will enhance safety - great job.

Sincerely appreciate it!

PS: What is that AOA (Angle of Attack indicator) on the left side of the screen? Is that for folks who have the hardware and want to link it into the IFly?  I have been thinking about purchasing one for my plane but it would be a stand-alone system on the dash so I could keep it in my outside field of view....just curious.

Was that an Angle of Attack indicator I saw X'd out in Brian's screen shot? I'm in the process of installing a Lift Reserve Indicator - but it's all tubing. Don't know how I'll get AOA info to iFly.
