The new Timers feature we are releasing soon should, I think, take care of this. We typically know how many hours of fuel are on board, so you can setup a custom countdown timer, with the "Only in Flight" option checked, and voila, a fuel remaining time.

Of course a smarter fuel timer might track your airspeed and climb/descent, and adjust the timer accordingly. But as the iFly only knows about ground speed, not airspeed, this simply wouldn't work.

Cool! We have a Totalizer on board which does an excellent job of showing fuel remaining and a guess at duration (based on current fuel flow). But I like a simple fuel timer on iFly too.

Now, if you all can alert us to when this feature is implemented, that would help. Sometimes I don't learn about these new things until I trip over them by accident or I hear about them in the forum. (Perhaps a running list of the updates/fixes in a sticky in the forum, where Brian's short list in new versions are compiled?

There's always an announcement of the new features when a new release is made. Here's an example for v9.8:

www.iflygps.com/SUPPORT/Forum/tabid/1...

This list is also typically duplicated in the software the first time it's launched after a new version is installed.

Brian also typically provides a similar list for the beta testers when new beta versions come out.

Yep, I know. I am simply suggesting that they be collected, collated and put in a sticky here in the forum (or the website proper) where users can review, since we don't yet have an official e-manual. For one, I find it hard to keep track of what's new or changed across the many versions. (The changes, mostly.) For two, new users might not be aware of all the neat things iFly can do, as they might have been added a version or two ago. (With due respect to the thread "Did you know...")

Sorry, your request wasn't clear. You asked for "an alert when this feature is implemented." AP already gives us those.

Sounds like you're really asking for a revision log hosted in a known location that you can easily refer back to.
