I like the idea of a separate list of what's been suggested already so as to avoid duplicates. (Although who is going to compile that list? Or simply publish Shane's Wish-List?)
I usually do a Search before I post a new idea to see if I'm duplicating an idea. But 1) as Cobra demonstrated in this thread, the search engine doesn't work as well as one might expect (perhaps the webmaster could use Google's free search-your-own-website tool instead?), 2) I always have to remember to change the start date to a year or two back, and 3) How far back should I go in time? There's a long history here in the iFly forum.
While I understand the "brag" feature of showing how many customer idea's iFly has adopted/integrated, that might weaken the purpose of the list. Since the main purpose of the list is to reduce clutter in the forum (by reducing dupe requests), I suggest it would be better to simply list still-open requests.
(Or, if iFly were to show how many customer idea's have been adopted (although who keeps such a list?), the list of "closed" (adopted) suggestions should be a separate list somewhere.)
