An additional idea would be to have a "Frequent" flyout box similar to NRST, where iFly keeps a weighted list of my most-used airports. That would help me, as I frequent a lot of the same airports. It could also benefit renters who fly out of multiple airports.

I agree - actually, the previous navigation software I used also had a short list of "Favorites". This popped up alongside the identifier entry area and you could just tap the "Favorite" airport's identifier and it was entered with that one tap. If I recall correctly the Favorite list was gradually built up by the program without user intervention - it arranged the list from the frequency you entered a particular airport, so obviously your home base was at the top of the list.

I could go for a list of "favorites" that we could click on and choose one of about 5 airports for departure and/or destination. I think I would prefer to populate the list manually since I do a lot of "arm chair" flying that I would not want to be added to my "favorites."

I missed out participating in this discussion when it was fresh, but I will offer this:

I think for many, many flights, the origin of the next plan will be the destination of the previous plan. Pretty much 100% of my flights are this case. (That's not true for folks who fly multiple planes from multiple airports, but you can't build a one-size-fits-all solution; that doesn't mean you can't try for a one-size-fits-most, though.)

It would be nice if there were a quick way to clear the current flight plan, but auto-populate the origin of the next plan with the destination of the last one.

This would be handy even for those who are prepping their plan the night before from home, or a hotel room, or elsewhere than the actual airport location.

I don't have any brilliant ideas for how to modify the user interface for that, though. Maybe add a unique option in the pop-up when you click the "opt" button next to the destination? (But that wouldn't be very intuitive.) Maybe add a pop up when pressing the "Clear" button to offer to use the previous destination as the new origin? (But that would be a potential irritant to those who can't benefit from the option, and slightly unintuitive.)

Or maybe add another option in the "More Options" list, since my request is kind of akin to the "Reverse Route" feature that lives there.

Currently, I use "Reverse Route" to partially accomplish this (it gets the previous destination in the new origin spot), and then I use Opt>Change or Opt>Remove to modify/delete the other waypoints. (One minor annoyance of using this method is that the original Plan Name at the top of the screen will persist, and so eventually I end up with plans that have absolutely no relation to the name at the top of the page, which looks odd to outside observers.)

Another option might be to change the "Clear" button to read "New Plan", then have that button pop up a menu with options for how to start the new plan. I can think of five likely options:

- Blank flight plan
- Reverse current route
- Use current destination as new origin
- Select origin from nearest airports
- Select origin from list of favorites

+1 for Cobra's options.
