Any chance of getting geo-referenced topo charts? Something with more detail than a sectional could be really useful for mountain flying. I expect it would need to be an extra cost item.

Great request! Topo charts are currently on our development wishlist and something we'll be looking into for a future update. We are monitoring demand for it at this time. They could also greatly benefit those flying in mountainous regions and in Canada. Our goal would be to include them in the current subscription prices, if possible. Stay tuned.

I would like the feature although the terrain feature is one of the reasons I got IflyGPS. It helps me when planning my flight. I have one more day to decide if I keep Foreflight( need to renew). I miss the weather features of FF in IflyGPS. For example I can visulize Air/Sigmets real easy graphically. When I read the description in the text format which shows where they are it does not do it for me.

When flying IFlyGPS it the true winner, I love it.

Peter,

Thanks for your honest feedback. iFly GPS was first designed to be a Navigation solution for the air. We have been closing the gap and improving the flight planning, supplemental information and have many more improvements to come. Expanded Weather features and Preflight Planning are definitely on the short list.

Now as for Topo, we feel there is some opportunity here for mountain flyers and even VFR pilots in Canada and Alaska. Topo charts would be extremely handy for them. It's on our wishlist, and we are just monitoring demand at this time.

Glad you like iFly GPS better I the air, that is where it really matters, but know that we are continually improving the planning and weather side.

Thanks Shane, you give me the demo during Oshkosh which convinced me to switch. I am happy to hear that they are on the short list. I have to say that using IFlygps for flight weather planning makes feel somewhat insecure. As explained seeing the air/sigmets visually help me. It helps to get the big picture.

Looking forward to the next improvements and I have not renewed my Foreflight.

Peter
