Play Store sends a notification to your Android devices anytime there is an updated version of any installed app. If you have it set to automatic, it will update automatically. Otherwise, you will have to click on it and tell it to update. It works the same for all Android apps installed via Play Store.

And where does one turn on automatic updates for iFly in the Android, please? That's good news, btw!

Go to the IFly GPS app in Play Store. Click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the screen. Click on Auto-update.

If you want to auto-update all Android apps, go to Play Store and click on 3 bars in the top left corner of the screen then click on Settings, then Auto-update apps.

Found it; you have to click on the icon and open the app download section. It is already set to auto-update. Strange.

You can click on the app in Play Store, then click the three dots in the top right corner and click auto-update.

Are you talking about going into the app on your device, then into downloads? That's not the app updates, that's the data updates (maps and charts, etc).
