There was only one place in Arizona that had MoGas. Now that AirNav doesn't list Benson with Mogas, I don't know if Benson sells it anymore. More than likely there wasn't a big call for MoGas, although I would would stop there to get some.

Next time I go that way I'll have to call to see if Benson sells MoGas anymore.

I don't know about you guys and I do know that 100LL and Airnav.com compete??, but I use Airnav.com for flight planning for fuel stops and a lot more. I also compare those fuel stops with 100LL ON IFLY-GPS and I also use Seattle Avionics Voyager (lifetime member) flight planner as well;it works. Airnav.com does have MOGAS if that airfield reports it. There is a web site called http://pure-gas.org/ that you can add MOGAS fuel stations be it for automotive or airfields. I also call the airfields for direct info as well. For example, Boone, IA has a fuel price (100LL) that does not list a 10% discount for paying with green cash! The only way you can have guaranteed MOGAS prices is if airfields participate within the program, or if you as a consumer report MOGAS availability (no-ethanol)and octane fuel station or airfield to http://pure-gas.org 100LL does not participate with MOGAS at least that I know of.

A Mogas data base would be useful. I prefer to use it in my Rotax engine if it is available.

We actually do get a very limited number of MoGas locations, and there are very few on other Aviation Fuel sites. We researched accuracy, price and fuel types when selecting the database we have. I'm very familiar with the pure-fuel site, although it seems to cater to the farmers and boaters looking to avoid ethanol.

As Walter mentioned, we have it in our plans to possibly add a pilot reportable fuel function to help enhance any databases we add. Fuel prices are not cheap, and they are only as accurate as the reporting entity or the fuel facility's report frequency. We feel this can be improved upon and better serve pilots to merge several database sources and add this pilot fuel report function.

Thanks for all your feedback, we'll take it all into considerations when improving this functionality.

I saw comments on this subject on another Forum and just had to search it out and remark. A MoGas Locator is a fantastic idea — and long overdue. There are more and more aircraft engines running on unleaded gasoline, and I think lots of pilots who have this type of engine would use a list like this to search for MoGas. I don't currently use iFly, but I will buy the iPad App, when the Locator becomes available.
