I like using the vector map most of the time to eliminate clutter, it would be really nice to have color selectable background. Some choices other than white would be nice.

Second would be the aircraft icon, maybe it's just me, but the aircraft icons are are neither very artistically appealing, or easy to see against a sectional background. Please  add some additional airplanes, shape objects, and some variation in size, and color.

There are plenty of graphic design tools in the world already, so I think an embedded tool to make new icon is not necessary, but maybe iFly could allow users to import their own icon files for use.

Have you tried digging through the file structure and finding if they use a standard (.jpg, .png, .bmp, .ico, etc.) image extension and modifying one that is there so that on your device the "Cessna" icon would be modified by you, with an appropriate image program, to look like a B747? 

Mind you, I have no idea if this would work, but it seems if the program is looking for "Cessna.ico" it will display whatever image (providing you keep it the same size) that is named "Cessna.ico" without regard to what it looks like on the screen.
