Portrait mode is also high on my wish list. Map-only portrait mode as an interim feature would help.

I also think that portrait mode would be a very much appreciated enhancement, even map-only, for many of us.

With the horizontal install as the only option, other instruments on the panel are partially covered. Vertical install would open up some room.

I am all for the portrait mode - primarily for positioning on my overcrowded panel. I am not sure how having the map in portrait and others in landscape would work? I have that problem now where I swap to portrait mode for the plates, I still have to twist the device 90 degrees back and forth.

Definitively portrait mode with intermim release for map only. It will allow me to do a panel install, right now it's usually somewhere between my thighs and the floor... I still like it a lot and agree that terrain + weather are even more urgent and desirable options.
