I flew a >300 nm flight plan and got diverted from my original IFR flight plan. After the diversion, I was allowed to go direct to my next waypoint instead of going back to my original path. How can I change the flight plan to add the current airplane location to an existing flight plan? All I see that I can do is fly direct to the next waypoint and have to build the rest of the flight plan. I can't see how to modify a flight plan on the fly. Anyone have any shortcuts?

You can remove the waypoints that are being bypassed from your flight plan. Do this by holding your finger next to a waypoint until the context menu pops, then select "Remove Waypoint". Or you can do it on the Flight Planning form by touching "Opt" next to the waypoint, and then "Remove..."

On the feature list is the ability to designate a target waypoint, not sure if this will make the 4.0 cut - we're down to the wire on that code and that feature isn't done yet. If it doesn't make 4.0, will be in the next release - end of year timeframe.

Thanks!

Actually, I did this during my flight (removed the old waypoints) but there was no route from my current location to the next waypoint. Or am I misunderstanding your workaround?

It looks like the only way I could modify it fast enough during my flight is to rubber band the route to the current location of the plane.

Walter,

So, how was the EAA AirVenture Convention at Oshkosh and how many units did you sell? Always like to think that I selected a "winner" with your new product. My iFly works great.

Oshkosh was a great event! We sold ton of units. We had a very busy booth...I'm thinking a bigger booth is in order for future events, there are just too many folks that we don't get to interact with.
