Questions about Approved Systems -- the FAA requirements for ADS-B:

1- Can the systems out there that are specified for Experimental and LSA airplanes be installed in SLSA or are they only approved for EAB and Experimental LSA (ELSA)?

2- Is it approved to install a certified GA system in a SLSA aircraft ?

3- If you install a Certified GA system in a SLSA will it qualify for the $500 rebate?

4- If you install a Certified GA system in a EAB or ELSA aircraft will it qualify for the $500 rebate?

For information and possible help to others, I will post what I have found to be the answers to the questions i posted earlier.

1 - Yes. But for SLSA the system must be on the Approved Equipment List from the manufacturer of the airplane, or the installation must be approved by the manufacturer or its DAR (Designated Aircraft Representative)

2 - Yes

3 - Yes, if you follow all the rebate claim procedures including the PAPR

4- Yes. Same as three

Thanks to those who posted research threads. If anyone has any further info that supports or disagrees with these answers please help.
