I have a Galaxy Tab A SM-T350 running Nougat 7.1.1. I've been having issues with the tablet not displaying all comntacts (I use an iFly Stratux). This has happened over 2 different (but identical) tablets.

No resolution for this has been found, and, apparently, others using the same tablet have reported issues too. I would like to get some data for iFly to help them try and resolve this - would hate to have to buy another tablet to make things work properly.

So, what tablet do you use, what version of OS is it running, and are you confident it always displays all contacts? Thanks!

I have a Samsung Tab S2 and an ASUS Zenpad 3S 10, both running Android 7.0.

I've been following the discussions about potential missing targets, but can't add any data to help.  I've noticed occasional discrepancies between tablets and the panel-mounted traffic, but the panel mount is a single-band device (UAT only), so it would be normal to get different target sets between that and my dual-band Stratux.

I simply don't monitor both tablets closely enough to notice if they show different sets of traffic targets, nor do I have another dissimilar app listening to the same Stratux data stream to see if it differs.

Hey Cobra

It all started with a CPL student who had Foreflight on an iPad in the cockpit with me, also connected to ADS-B through my Stratux. So we were both using the same source. His display showed a plane - Cessna 347ME - and mine didn't. I dropped that tablet and broke it and bought the exact same model (love its size and they're cheap - maybe there's my downfall!!). On getting the new one all aircraft (that I know of) ere shown. Then, without any changes (that I made) a different aircraft - Cessna 5199B - stopped displaying and that's where I am now. I'm wondering, after a comment from John Miller about his identical tablet to mine, whether it's a hardware/software/OS issue.

Just to eliminate a wild guess - is it possible that iFly's ghost logic made the other aircraft be hidden?   (this can happen if the other aircraft is very close to yours and traveling in the same path) --  Just want to make sure this isn't a "ghosting" issue.

What we'll need to resolve this issue is the "ADSB Log" for the flight.  Do you know how to enable ADSB Logging?  And if so, you can send us this adsb log via "Send Bug Report => Select File => Scroll down to the ADSB log" and send it.  In your email, make note of the Aircraft ID/Tail# that is missing, and at what time it showed up in another EFB.  That should be enough for us to debug, possibly.

If that turns up nothing - the best data for us to analyze is if you have two devices both running iFly GPS, and one shows the aircraft and one doesn't.   Then send us both ADSB logs, and we can more easily figure out why one device showed it, and one didn't.

But for starters, if you only have one ADSB log where you can pinpoint "aircraft not showing up" -- that SHOULD be all we need.
