Jim, be careful with the 2nd gen Nexus. Many of them have touch screen issues that render them uesless. Give it a thourhough check out when you first get it so it can be returned if faulty.

I lived with it for a few weeks but it kept getting worse. Finally I sent it back to ASUS and they replaced it with a unit that works better but is still not really right. For instance it likes anything I do with my left thumb but doesn't want to recognize my right thumb. It is a problem with the screen and it's capacitance settings, or maybe its the plate in my head!!!!

The Nexus7 2013 has some peculiarities. For me, if I set the Nexus on top of our couch pillows and try to use it, the screen is almost unresponsive and flaky. Somehow the qualities of the pillow material mess up the touch readings. I haven't researched it; but it's a definite and consistent phenomenon for me. In short, weird things can affect it.

Jim, I've been using my Nexus 7 2013 with a SkyGuardTWX now for about half a year or so, and it's been good to me, too.
