For further clarification: in my plane I plug an audio patch cord into the audio out (on either the iFly 720 or my Nexus 7) and the other end is plugged into the audio in jack on my intercom. This allows all sounds generated in iFly to be heard through the headsets while flying. At least it does with the 720 as it's not yet working with my Nexus 7.

YouTube works on my wife's 2013 Nexus 7.

I will re-verify, but when I flew on 3/8, I was hearing alerts sent from my Android Phone to the Audio panel via Bluetooth.

I tested iFly on both the Nexus 7 (2013) and Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, and for both, iFly was outputting sound to the headset.

BUT, I did have some issues initially. After cleaning out my jack port and ensuring that the headset was firmly plugged in, then it worked. I experienced a temporary situation where YouTube *was* working, but iFly was not. Somehow, YouTube was doing a better job of overcoming the loose connection it appears (not sure how they did that, or if it was just a fluke).

Nothing that I found on development forums seem to indicate any requirement in programming to make applications use this headset jack, and my 2 tests above affirmed this finding.

I hope that you can get this to work as well by cleaning out the jack port and firmly plugging it in. Please give it another try, and the let me know if you have any better results.

Thanks for your efforts, Brian. Your customer service is never less than stellar!

I am still unable to hear any sounds from the iFly app through a headset on either my 2013 Nexus 7 or my Galaxy S4 phone. All other sounds (music, videos, etc.) are normal through the headset on both devices. I do hear faint button press sounds through the external speakers on both devices however. Are there any sound settings in the iFly app that I am not aware of? I have never seen any settings for volume or aubible alerts. I must be doing something wrong.
