In the weeks I have been using Android Ifly, this has happened three times, so I guess it's something you need to hear about. I start the app before preflight, check it out, and all is fine. But then I don't look at it again until I am in the air and departing the airport. Three times now, when I finally look down at the screen, the Ifly app is no longer running and I see only my desktop screen. After relaunching the app, all is fine for the rest of the trip. On the assumption it had something to do with leaving the airport area and the resultant automatic switch away from airport view, I drove around the airport neighborhood several times, trying to see if the system crashed when I left the airport area. I haven't (yet) been able to duplicate that issue on the ground, so I'm beginning to doubt that theory. It has nothing to do with ADS-B because the first two times happened before I got my Dual receiver. FYI, I am using an early generation Nexus 7.

Very interesting, thanks for the report. Can you check your AutoTaxi+ Setting? (Menu / Setup / Map Settings / AutoTaxi+). Is this enabled? If so, try turning it off. I'm not sure if it's related to your issue, but it's my first guess.

Thanks!
Walter

OK Auto Taxi was enabled. I have turned it off. It might be a couple weeks before I fly again, but I will check back if it happens again.

Vaughn, if it happens again, one thing that helps us determine the root cause is if you'll "Menu => About => Submit Bug Report" asap. This sends us the last 2 log files, and so may help us figure out this bug quicker.
