Recently,

I have been having reliablity problems with my IPAP/Stratux set-up. On a short, 1 hour flight, the GPS data disappars, and I have to re-establich Network connection to the GPS. Not feeling good about trusting this set-up and thinking I should get the Stratus 3. Any Ideas? The Stratux power connector looks like a failure point?

The Stratux is great for what it is, but this is pretty common. I always talk to folks with issues w/ Stratux, but never, ever get support requests from folks with the AstroLink or S3.

I'd tell you the Astrolink is the best bang for your buck: https://www.iflygps.com/STORE/Product/astro-link-ahrs-gps-ads-b-receiver

it does everything the S3 does, but is less expensive and has a smaller footprint. It's what I use.

I was powering my Stratux using one of the flat, lithium ion battery and a "generic" USB cable. Occassionaly I would have what I called "data interruptions". Once I got a "fast charge" USB cable that could handle a higher current, the data interruptions stopped.

Hope this helps.
