Verizon. Mini 2, 64gb, 2 year contract, $429.99. Mini 3, 64gb, 2 year contract, $329.99. That's if you want LTE. It's $10 per month to add to your existing shared data plan.

I received just today an iPad Mini 4, which does also not automatically re-connect via Bluetooth with the XGPS170, after it was turned off.
If I connect it manually, it however establishes the connection immediately.
Just to be clear - I am talking about the Bluetooth connection between the iPad and the GPS. Once the connection is established, iFly works just fine with it.

I was therefore wondering, whether you found a solution for this issue? My iPad Mini 4 has the latest iOS 9.2 installed.

We've seen the same Bluetooth issue on some Dual and Bluetooth units with the Apple products. WiFi seems much more seamless. I've found that if I leave my iPad Bluetooth on, and simply turn the Dual or BT device on and off, it seems to pair up more consistently. iOS 9.2 has seen some reports of Bluetooth issues, so I suspect this will be a short term issue.

Fyi - Dual responded yesterday to my e-mail, telling me that they are aware of the problem that the receiver does not automatically re-connect and that they are working on it.

I also called Apple, as it appears that one of their last iOS updates caused the issue – they were very responsive, but did not come up with any finding yet.

Fyi: Dual still hasn't released a new firmware for the XGPS170.

These are the issues I am still having:
- Does not automatically re-connect to any iOS device.
- Charging LED only occationally changes to 'green' when full, even if connected to an original iPad charger.
- Shows random spikes in GPS speed. Definitely a XGPS problem, as the same spikes are also shown in the Dual app, on various iOS devises and on my Android tablet.

Very frustrating. I am actually leaning towards getting another ADS-B receiver, what would sadly also mean to move to another aviation app.
