OK, if the 740/740b devices are not going to get voice traffic alerts and glide rings glide rings, then PLEASE post and update the NIT ratings of the various tablets that are capable enough for iFly EFB. Or at least a list of those that are equal or better than the 740. Those of us with open cockpits and probalby bubble canopies will need that to pick out a suitable replacement device.

The Galaxy Tab S2 is marginally visable under the wing of the C192 now, and not usable in the Woody's Pusher.

I've made some research on high nits tablets as a result of this thread.

Not sure if links are permitted so I'll go with the names and google will find them.

TRIPLTEK.    1200 nits

IP67 android.  1000 nits

CRYSTALSKY  1000 or 2000 nits

For any of them I just hope that the software will support NMEA 0183 for Auto Pilot....

OK... Will the new software running on a crystal sky or triple tek drive the autopilot? If it does, that would be a game changer.

Brolin, you mentioned using another vendor. Simple question... If the EFB software is installed on one of these, WILL IT OUTPUT NMEA?

Yes. We have a partnership with another outfit and they are announcing their product soon. That is legally all I can say until their announcement.
