Well at least it sounds like you have a way. However for those of us that already have EFIS with ADAHRS/ ADSB IN-out and autopilots it would essentially be little more than a $1400 Replacement for a $20 USB To serial cable :-(  but with the added risk of WiFi vs. hard wired connection. I suspect I'm not the only one that will be unable to justify that. Bummer.

Correct! There should not be another device inline between the tablet and the EFIS and autopilot. Why wont a tablet with serial out send the required info to the EFIS?

Does anyone know when we might be able to get the EFB upgrade.

So far all I hear is someday.

I just signed up for another term hoping at loooong last I would have vocal traffic. Just like flight Following, but without the Feds.

THIS!!!  ^^^^^^^^^^^^  +1

I'll happily keep using my 740b until it is no longer supported and will try the ESB vesion on my phone backup, but yeah, count me out on ripping out thousands of $ of gear to replace a system that is performing perfectly. But still, looking forward to see what the EFB version brings to the table that may be useful.

Best,

John
