Right now I have it set on 9800 baud and all the options are checked (extended).  I have tried it on standaard and custom with only a few things checked and at 4800 baud.  It does the same on all settings.  It freezes after the NMEA Output Controller is touched.  Try going to flight plan menu after touching it and see if it responds to anything at all after the flight plan menu is brought up.  See attachment

Well, the issue is solved...I was finally able to actually test all this in flight today after days and days of rain and our turf runway here at SC76.  The flight plan from the 740 does in fact update to the EFIS when in flight.  It will NOT on the gorund.  all my testing for this was on the ground and I would have suspected this as a possibility except that the Garmin GNC300 WILL update flight plans from it when on the ground, but the 740 does not.  I cannot expanin why this is but at least it does update when it matters.

Thanks to everyone for their help

Ed
