I agree that I prefer to fly IFR vs VFR, even on severe-clear days. However, I do still typically have the Sectional view on iFly vs. the low-enroute charts. Most of the routings I get where I fly the most are either intersecting STARs/SIDs or other routes with radar vector or direct legs that aren't indicated on the LE charts anyway, and usually the weather's clear enough that I prefer to have the visual landmarks from the Sectional available vs. the info on the LE charts that I'm not actively using. Thus, if there were an issue on an LE chart near me, I might not be aware of it.
